Our Mission: Dance as a Tool for Transformation
Our approach blends rigorous training with contemporary choreographic practice, working across contemporary, traditional, and urban dance styles alongside guest artists from Africa and its diaspora. Beyond technique, we see dance as a tool for personal and collective transformation creating real professional opportunities for Tanzanian dancers while building community through movement.
House of Wondar is a professional dance company and studio based in Dar es Salaam, creating opportunities for Tanzanian dancers and performers through ongoing training, residencies, and video and performance productions. We believe dance is more than a stage practice it’s a way to reconnect with the body, build community, and drive personal and social transformation.
