Based in Dar es Salaam, the House of WONDAR continues the work of the WONDARLAND project (2023/2024), which emerged from the conviction that dance and performance support processes of personal and collective transformation.
The House of WONDAR hosts a professionalizing company that supports dancers and choreographers through a programme of training and creation workshops with international artists, mainly from Africa or the African diaspora.
The House of WONDAR supports artistic creation and innovation in Tanzania through residencies, the production of performances, and video-performance projects, and is committed to making dance and well-being-related practices more accessible to Tanzanians.
This project is led by its artistic director, Matthieu Nieto, through the Alliance Française of Dar es Salaam, in collaboration with WONDARLAND Limited, and with the support of the Embassy of France in Tanzania through the FEF Création Afrique programme (September 2025 – August 2027).
